My Adventures to Sweden

I had a fantastic adventure to Sweden. It was something I will never forget and I will definitely be back in the near future.

The primary purpose of the International 4-H Youth Exchange is to help people develop a better understanding of other cultures. The motto is "Peace Through Understanding" and that understanding comes to not only those who travel, but also those who host. It primarily comes from direct experience living with families. It is one thing to go to a country and tour. In the IFYE Experience you pass through doors and live as a family with people of different cultures.

Much of what I did was dependent upon what the family was like and where they lived. Most of my host families lived on farms, mainly dairy, however I did have two families who lived in town. No matter where the family lived I took part of their family and participated in their daily family acitivies (chores, church, community involvement, etc.).

You can either view them as a web page, Microsft Word, or PDF format. Feel free to download the PDF version if you want to print them. Those will be formatted exactly how I wanted them presented back in USA while I was gone.

I would like to thank everyone who supported me both financially and mailing me. I especially would like to thank my host families for allowing me to take part in their lives. I have a lot of great friends because of this adventure and would love to keep in touch with as many as I can.
